Outreach activities
Taking science into my community is something that is very important to me, especially to younger audiences. I do a variety of outreach activities because it gives me hope for the future and it helps me see science from a different perspective.

I've been volunteering with this Monterey Bay Aquarium program since 2006. These 6th to 8th grade students are fabulous and give me so much hope for the future of the oceans and the planet!

I started writing letters to students in 2015. This program is a great way to introduce science and scientists to students around the United States.

YWS is a bilingual teen program at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I've been volunteering since 2007 with these awesome ladies!

I have been the president of the FGRA since 2015.
